High Performance SOA
ved Jeppe Cramon fra Tiger Team.
SOA has been long been the holy grail of Increased Business Agility and Cost Reduction which should be achieved throughIncreased Usability, Improved Maintainability and Redundancy Reduction.
Common SOA Realities
- Systems are more fragile
- Development and Maintenance costs are higher
- Your services are not being reused
- You thought SOA would solve your integration problems, but they’ve gotten worse
- No one want to build or maintain services
- System performance is worse
You have spent a considerable amount of money on technical infrastructure (e.g. Enterprise Service Bus) trying to become more aligned to your business.
This talk will give you the understanding you need to address the problem described above.
Building Modular Enterprise Applications in Java
This talk will introduce the OSGi framework and how to create modular, service oriented, robust and durable enterprise applications. Modularity forces separation of concerns which, when combined with a service oriented architecture, enables you to replace parts of a system without breaking others.
You will learn all about OSGi implementations and the wealth of open source enterprise components, and how to combine those apparent opposite worlds into coherent applications. We will also show you all you need to know about setting up your development environment to get started right away.
Finally, we will focus on deployment into the cloud, introducing Apache ACE, a software distribution framework that allows to centrally manage and distribute software components, configuration data, and other artifacts to target systems. We will focus on building and managing OSGi deployments, showing you how to use Apache ACE to bootstrap a framework and deploy to remotely managed systems in a cloud.
